These Terms & Conditions outline the rules for renting vehicles through Rent and Chill Ltd Registration number 405821801 (“we”, “us”, “our”) and for using the online booking platform at www.rentandchill.com. By placing a reservation or using the website, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these terms.

1. Rental Period and Charges

1.1. The minimum billable rental period is 24 hours. Even if a vehicle is rented for only a portion of the day, a full day's rate applies.

1.2. A rental from one calendar day to the next (e.g., Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon) is counted as two rental days.

1.3. Requests to extend the rental period must be communicated to the rental provider in advance and are subject to approval and availability.

1.4. Late returns may result in additional charges. A return delayed by more than 2 hours may be considered an extra rental day.

2. Fuel Policy

2.1. The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the time of pickup.

2.2. If the vehicle is returned with a lower fuel level than at pickup, the renter must compensate the difference based on the rental provider’s standard fuel rates. These rates are reasonable, market-based, and not excessive, and are applied only to the missing fuel amount.

2.3. If the fuel level is higher, compensations isn’t offered.

3. Vehicle Condition & Cleanliness

3.1. Upon return, the vehicle must be in a condition that allows proper inspection.

3.2. If excessive dirt or debris prevents inspection, the rental company may charge a cleaning fee.

3.3. Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Violation may result in cleaning or deodorizing fees.

4. Insurance Coverage & Exclusions

4.1. Standard insurance does not cover:

  • wheel and tire damage
  • undercarriage damage
  • interior damage
  • windscreen cracks or breaks

4.2. In case of an accident, the renter must immediately contact the insurance company and follow their instructions. The vehicle must not be moved from the scene until the insurance company provides guidance. If the insurance company instructs the renter to contact the police, the renter must do so and obtain the required official report.

4.3. Failure to follow these reporting procedures may render the insurance invalid, making the renter fully liable for all damages.

4.4. Insurance is void in cases of:

  • intentional damage
  • reckless driving or gross negligence
  • unauthorized drivers operating the vehicle

5. Authorized Drivers

5.1. Only the individual(s) listed in the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

5.2. Anyone driving without being listed is considered an unauthorized driver, and all insurance coverage becomes invalid.

6. Road Use & Geographic Restrictions

6.1. Rental vehicles may be used only on paved, officially recognized public roads.

6.2. Driving is strictly prohibited on the following routes and territories:

  • Akhaltsikhe – Batumi (via Goderdzi Pass)
  • Sairme – Abastumani road
  • Regions of Truso, Juta, Vashlovani, Tusheti, Omalo, Shatili
  • Abkhazia and South Ossetia
  • Mestia – Ushguli – Lentekhi route

(Allowed only for vehicles specifically authorized for this route and is allowed exclusively during the period from May 1 to September 30.)

6.3. Insurance does not apply in any prohibited region or on any restricted road.

6.4. Cross-border travel outside Georgia is not allowed.

7. Communication Requirements

7.1. The renter must provide a valid phone number with the correct country code during booking.

7.2. The number must remain reachable throughout the rental period and the day before pickup.

7.3. Claims relating to service delays or missed communication will not be accepted if the rental provider or platform could not reach the renter due to an unavailable phone.

8. Renter Obligations

The renter is responsible for:

  • complying with all traffic rules
  • paying fines, parking fees, and tolls
  • maintaining and returning the vehicle in good condition
  • ensuring fuel and cleanliness requirements are met
  • reporting incidents immediately

9. Driver Eligibility Requirements

9.1. Minimum driver age and required driving experience differ by vehicle class and are listed on each car's page.

9.2. If the renter does not meet the stated requirements, the rental provider may decline service even after booking.

9.3. Renters are encouraged to use search filters to locate vehicles that match their eligibility.

10. Required Documentation

10.1. The renter must present:

  • a valid national driving license with details in Latin script, and if applicable, an International Driving Permit (IDP).

10.2. Copies, digital formats, or photographs of licenses are not accepted.

10.3. If a deposit must be secured using a credit card, it must:

  • be a physical card
  • belong to the main driver
  • have embossed details
  • be issued in the driver's name

11. Traveling With Pets

11.1. Only small pets are permitted.

11.2. Pets must remain inside secure carriers throughout the rental period.

12. Booking Rules on Rentandchill.com

12.1. Rent and Chill Ltd, a company with legal address Asmati street 14, Tbilisi, Georgia Registration number 405821801 offers an online platform enabling customers to reserve vehicles from independent car owners.

12.2. Users must be 18 years or older to make a booking.

12.3. During booking, customers pay an online commission fee of 15% or 20% depending on the vehicle listing.

12.4. The remaining amount must be paid directly to the rental provider when you collect the vehicle.

13. Booking Modifications and Cancellations

13.1 Cancelling a Reservation

To cancel a reservation, the customer must send a cancellation request to [email protected], including: Booking confirmation (voucher), Booking number and Customer name. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

Refund Processing:

  • Refunds are initiated within 2–3 business days after confirmation of cancellation.
  • Funds are credited within 5–14 calendar days, depending on the bank and payment provider.

In case of booking cancellation, the platform commission is not charged. Payment service fees charged by the payment provider may be withheld and are not subject to refund.

13.2 Free Cancellation Period

Cancellation without penalty is allowed:

  • up to 7 days before the rental start date
  • up to 30 days for luxury or convertible vehicles
  • up to 24 hours before pickup if the reservation includes the "Free Cancellation" option

If the customer does not appear at the agreed time and place: No refund is issued. Late cancellations result in the commission fee being fully retained as compensation for loss of reservation.

13.3 Cancellation by the Owner

If the booking is cancelled due to: Vehicle unavailability, Owner-related issues, Technical or operational reasons

The customer is entitled to: A replacement vehicle of equal or higher class for same price or 100% refund of all paid amounts.

13.4 Cancellation Within First 24 Hours

The booking may be cancelled by either: The customer or the vehicle owner within 24 hours after booking confirmation and advance payment, provided that the vehicle has not yet been handed over.

In this case - The advance payment is refunded according to Section 13.1 The cancelling party must notify the other party and platform support before pickup time.

13.5 Modifying Reservations

To change a booking, the existing reservation must be cancelled and a new booking must be created based on current availability and prices.

Once a booking is cancelled, the vehicle is immediately released and may be booked by another customer.

14. Vehicle Condition and Damage Reporting

14.1. Renters are encouraged to photograph or film the vehicle during pickup to document its condition.

14.2. Any pre-existing damage not reported at pickup may be considered new damage upon return.

14.3. The renter is liable for all damages not covered by insurance.

15. Platform Responsibilities

15.1. Rentandchill.com operates as an intermediary platform.

15.2. All information regarding vehicle condition, insurance terms, deposits, and service quality is provided by the rental company or vehicle owner.

15.3. All operational and technical questions must be directed to the rental provider via the contact details sent in the booking confirmation.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By placing a reservation, the customer confirms that they:

  • have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • accept the rules of the rental provider
  • acknowledge that Rent and Chill Ltd is a platform facilitating reservations and not the vehicle owner
